The transit of Venus
The transit of venus happened on the 6th of June and traveled across the sun for 6 hours.
This rare transit is when the Sun, Venus and Earth alline, making Venus visable infront of the sun.
The next transit will be in 105 years, in 2017.
Of course, you cant view the sun with the naked eye, so to protect your eyes you can buy some solar viewing glasses.
In some countries you could only see Venus as the sun rise others could only see it when the sun sets. Australia and New Zealand could see the whole transit!
Unfortunately the weather was cloudy and we could not see the transit of Venus.
Remember, if your born in in 2040 there might be a chance that you could see the next transit of Venus.
